Surya Kriya
Surya Kriya as thought by Sadhguru
Honestly, this is my core practice. - It’s not the same as Surya Kriya in Kundalini Yoga and it’s not the same as the regular Sun Salutation out there.
This is way more than that…
The progress is slow but worth it.
The sequence comes with preparatory asana - a set of 3 short practices. The changes you can see by practising Surya Kriya are slow but steady. It takes 3 weeks before you start easing up into the flow of the set, it takes another 3 weeks before you start actually enjoying it and then it seems to get harder for a while but by the time you reach 90 days, it will become a part of you.
You come out radiant and fully transformed. The heat you create inside of your body by practising this set will burn away all the toxins in your body. You will be flushing a lot.
It balances your hormonal level, increases energy levels, it gives you clarity of mind, focus and strength in general. It also breaks the karmic cycle… This is my favourite practice for a very long time and the way it’s thought by Sadhguru is phenomenal. It’s practised slowly with closed eyes by the sunrise or sunset, and it’s a part of his Hatha Yoga Program.
Unfortunately, it’s not thought online and it takes truly years to master it. It’s one of the most important practices in Hatha Yoga.
